Pre-Veterinary Studies
Program Statement
This program is designed for students who plan to transfer to a 4-year institution to prepare for admission to a veterinary school. Students will have an affordable and accessible transfer pathway, and they will be exposed to the career field through animal science courses which are recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Program Information
- This program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a 4-year institution to major in Biology, Animal Science or a related field and will give them a foundation in Pre-Veterinary Studies and related fields.
- Students will take a variety of transferable General Studies courses, as well as select Biology and Animal Science elective courses.
- After completion of the degree, students have a strong foundation in Biology and Animal Science that will allow them to be successful in their next program.
After Bristol
Upon completion of this degree, students will be able to transfer to a 4-year institution to major in Biology, Pre-Veterinary Studies, Animal Science or a related field. Bristol participates in the statewide MassTransfer program and has developed many program-to-program transfer articulation agreements which guarantee admission and credit transfer.
