MTH 251 : Fundamental Business Statistics
This course serves as an introduction to statistics with applications to business scenarios. Topics include: methods of collecting, tabulating and graphically representing data; measures of central tendency, dispersion, skewness, and kurtosis; basic probability rules; binomial and normal probability distributions; sampling distributions; and estimation. Applications will be stressed throughout the course. Prerequisite: Introductory Algebra Competency or concurrent registration in MTH 131 or MTH 131S. Three lecture hours per week.
