Program Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: 

  1.  Apply principles of child development to plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate, culturally grounded, and responsive learning experiences across early childhood settings.

  2. Explain how social, philosophical, and political factors shape early childhood education policies, practices, and learning environments.

  3. Analyze their own practice and use reflective tools, professional standards, and ethical guidelines to make informed decisions that support continuous improvement in instruction and program quality.

  4. Demonstrate effective professional communication by using appropriate verbal, non-verbal, and written techniques to collaborate with families, coworkers, and other stakeholders in early childhood settings.

  5. Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood policies, regulations, and licensing requirements to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality program operations.
