Early Childhood Education - Child Care Career

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: 

1. Identify and explain how social, philosophical, and political factors influence education.

2. Demonstrate knowledge of child development and the cultural context of learning birth through School-Age.

3. Demonstrate effective communication in professional and academic settings by using appropriate non-verbal, verbal, and written communication techniques.

4. Apply developmentally & culturally appropriate strategies to curriculum, instruction, & interaction with children/students from birth – preschool utilizing MA Early Education and Care Guidelines for Infant, Toddlers, Preschool Learning Experiences.

5. Apply guidance and classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior, ensure children’s safety, encourage healthy practices, and support inclusive, respectful relationships.
