Elementary Education

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Examine social, philosophical, and political foundations of education and classroom pedagogies to foster equitable approaches to learning.

2. Demonstrate knowledge of child development and the cultural context of learning.

3. Analyze child, family, and/or school strengths and needs using appropriate non-verbal, verbal, and written forms of communications

4. Apply developmentally and culturally appropriate strategies to curriculum, instruction, and interaction with children/students

5. Incorporate technology to enhance learning and teaching while also supporting access, equity, and inclusion
