Animal Science

At the end of the Animal Science AAS program, students will be able to:

1.  Demonstrate skills in critical thinking.

2. Demonstrate skills in animal husbandry and restraint.

3. Demonstrate skills in performing veterinary diagnostic procedures.

4. Demonstrate professional ethics as it pertains to assigned duties, staff and client interactions, and animal care.

5. Demonstrate personal responsibility, compassion, and professional resilience towards clients and animals.

6. Utilize verbal and nonverbal modalities to effectively and professionally communicate with clients and veterinary health care team members.

7. Utilize discipline related software.

8. Employ best practices of record keeping.

9. Evaluate the credibility of internet or other published sources associated with animal care and management.
