BIO 205 : Animal Behavior
This course is designed to give students an introduction to the principles of Animal Behavior. Topics include Learning, Communication, Cultural Transmission, Mating Systems, Kinship, Predator/Prey interactions, and Aggression, among other. The lab will include field and laboratory experiments. Prerequisite: BIO 121. Three lecture hours and three laboratory hours per week. Instructional Support Fee applies.

Course Outcomes
After completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Evaluate the major principles of Animal Behavior
2. Compare the behavior of animals to the behavior of humans, when applicable
3. Apply the principles of Animal Behavior to design and implement an Ethogram project
4. Demonstrate a basic understanding of how to collect and analyze data
5. Analyze data and draw conclusions from collected data
